Where What Who Why How

I work in MARKETING, COMMUNICATION, and DESIGN. Sometimes I write, sometimes I take photographs or design or manage a project, or make drawings of concepts. Sometimes I sit in a boardroom for most of the day. Sometimes I am on a plane for work. Sometimes for an adventure. Sometimes the lines are blurred. It is all very exciting and challenging. I can’t say I have ever been bored in my career (Except that one time I had to answer the phone for a refuge removal company. It lasted 3 days. Can we please not talk about that?).

My clients and subjects vary from product to services and I am often in a space where I need to share someone else’s story. So right here, THIS SPACE is therefore a place I can call my own.

This blog is a simple diary of some of my experiences, captured through my lens and words.

Why? Maybe it will make the memories linger a little longer. Maybe it can inspire someone else to step out of their comfort zone too. I sometimes share practical tips and references. Here and there I might get sentimental. Please excuse me.

Why “dear Niche”? – it reminds me of a postcard, a note, a letter to my eighty-year-old self. 

Or a note from you. 

In 2000, just a few days before New Years, I got given a promotional pack of postcards at a bar in Taipei. It was ABSOLUTE VODKA and their campaign covered well-known cities all over the world. Their bottle, hidden in the well-known icons of the city. I took the pack of postcards and thought “one day, I will send myself a postcard from each of these places”
